MBDx is a research partnership set up between Brunel University, London, UK and Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda. MBDx works to translate the latest advancements in diagnostic science and engineering to address infectious and non-communicable diseases in low and middle income countries with a special focus on maternal and child health and sexually transmitted infections. In addition to furthering our research goals the partnership strives to expand the teaching and research capacity in the developing world through collaborative research and teaching in partner institutions.

We have partnerships with other organisations involved in research including the Epicentre, Mbarara and esti2, UK.
